At Premier Care, we know that our Service Users care needs don’t stop when the working day stops. We can provide care around the clock, so you or your loved ones can rest easily throughout the night.

Overnight care is when one of our fully trained carers will stay in your home overnight. We know that care doesn’t stop at 5pm, and fortunately neither do we.

Care needs can be hugely varied, and we have a person-centred approach to all of our care. We tailor all of our care packages around the individual, building a bespoke care package around their needs.

You may need night-time care if you or a loved one feels uncomfortable being left alone overnight. One-to-one nightly care from our fully trained carers means there is always someone there to help with toilet breaks, administering medication or even to help move and position in bed.

Every situation is different, which is why overnight home care can be a perfect solution. It allows the individual to maintain their independence in their home for as long as possible.

It can be daunting to accept that care is needed and to take those first steps, which is why we’re here to help at Premier Care. Get in touch with us today and find out how we can help build your bespoke care plan.

Overnight home care can help with easing the anxiety of spending the night alone. Knowing that there’s someone fully trained at hand to help can make all the difference in putting someone at ease and giving them the peace of mind to get a good nights rest.

Night-time care can also help in other ways, such as:

  • Administering medication throughout the night
  • Supporting with toilet breaks
  • Help with changing position in bed, this can be useful if you’ve had an operation or injury
  • Support with complex care needs from our fully trained care team
  • Someone on hand to support those living with conditions such as Dementia
  • Extra peace of mind for family and loved ones knowing someone is there to provide support

Overnight home care can be the deciding factor in keeping loved ones in their homes and maintaining their independence.

In 2019, we’ve introduced Digital Care Planning for all our Employees, Service Users and their families. This enables us to update a care plan with a click of a button. All a Service User or their family have to do is contact us to change something in their plan and we can update it for their care worker to see within seconds.

This also helps us ensure that all the Service Users tasks in a visit is completed as their allocated care worker will tick these off whilst at the visit. This is included for medication as there is a section on there for E-Mar Charts.

Once a visit is completed, our care worker can provide feedback. The tasks, E-Mar Chart and the feedback of that visit can be accessed by the Service User and their family through our client log in at the top of this page, this will be accessible no matter where the family are.

This means you can check that your loved one is safe and sound at home overnight, while you might be down the road, in another city or even in another country. We want to make sure all of our Service Users and their family have peace of mind while we are providing their care.

Our system follows all GDPR legislation and ensures Premier Care are stepping in the right way to become paper free.

We cover a vast area across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. You can see our location pages for a breakdown of what areas we cover in greater detail.

Meet The Night Owl Team

Nicola Marsh – Business Operations Manager

I am the Business Operations Manager at Premier Care, it’s my job to get the overnight home care service off the ground and running. Delivering high quality service across the board. We’ve made the decision to use a dedicated care team for our night care. The night care team are our Night Owls, a fully trained team just for night calls.

I have worked for Premier Care for over 10 years, and started as a carer myself. I’ve worked in various positions, up to management level. I understand the dedication and what it takes to provide our Service Users with the quality care they need and what it takes to provide the best care service we can.
